Building on the momentum of its successful rollout in Australia, Specsavers Audiology is expanding across the ditch and launching in New Zealand this month.
An Australian-based team made up of Specsavers Support Office staff and a partner will head to Queenstown in New Zealand this week to officially launch the offering at the New Zealand Audiological Society Conference from July 3-6.
With more than 100 stores open in Australia, and the network set to double in the next 12 months, the team is hoping to replicate the same success in New Zealand.
Specsavers Audiology’s Head of Professional Services Nick Taylor said the conference was the perfect platform to launch their New Zealand offering.
“Since August 2017 we have been rolling out audiology services in our optical stores in Australia and I am looking forward to bringing that model to New Zealand,” he said.
“With our joint venture partnership model already proven in New Zealand’s optometry sector, we are confident local audiologists will be able to build their own businesses, backed by Specsavers and our powerful range of support services.”
Specsavers Audiology will be eventually rolled out across all of the network’s North and South Island stores.
